

The recipient of a bachelor's degree in biology and history from Rice University, Brian Richmond subsequently earned a master's degree and PhD in anthropological sciences from Stony Brook University. Brian Richmond began his career in 2000 as an assistant professor of anthropology, research methods, and statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award and authored eight articles that were published in leading science journals.
From 2002 to 2014, Brian Richmond served as an associate professor at George Washington University, where he taught PhD-level courses in analytical methods and advanced statistics. Additionally, he served as chairman of the Department of Anthropology from 2010 to 2013, during which time he managed more than 50 employees and 200 students and helped develop the university's strategic plan for the next decade.
Since then, Dr. Richmond has served as co-leader of New York HR Analytics, which meets monthly to discuss innovations in people analytics, and as a senior data scientist at WeWork. He presently works as a senior data scientist with Aura Health, where he helps people reduce anxiety and lead more fulfilling lives.
